Day Six:-

On Monday we started our day with news meeting. Today we had our news editor Mr.Wajahat Kareem. Different assignments were distributed among all the participants.

Day Five:-

Day fifth started with the News meeting. At the beginning Mr. Michael told us “Content is King” and “time is queen”. We have to meet our deadlines. Our first Editor was Mr.zeeshan Qasim Different stories were distributed among all the participants. Deadline for our stories were 4 P:M.  I did my story on my university about re-employing teachers post retirement. Micheal was not satisfied with my story and suggested me to do other stories apart from academic ones.  

Day Fourth:-

On day fourth we started our training session with the feedback than our blogs were discussed one by one. In my blog Michael suggested some improvements those are as under;

1. Prices of vegetables should not be included as it loses readers attention instead of it percentage of price hike be mentioned.
2. graphics for prices can be used.
3. simple words can be used instead of Significant we can use Big.
4. Reasons should be discussed.
5. Try to get the story more livelily.
6. get the jest of the story and put it at the top....

Afterwards we had a news meeting in which everyone gave their ideas about their stories and came up with interesting ideas. Than we received Mr. faizan Yousaf who is currently working with internews. Faizan shared his experiences working in social media.

Day Third:-


Our 3rd day of the training started like usual the day started with the feedback from previous day learning and we all presented our feedbacks. It was a useful activity and our recalled our learning through feedback and also learnt from others presentations the things we missed in our ones. The day was hectic one because we worked a lot doing assignments all the day.

First of all Michael wanted to see our assignments which were given yesterday to write 300 words story on our blogs. Every participant showed his blogs. Suggested some improvements in our stories.

We also practiced editorial meeting and discussed different story ideas with him.Than we receive Miss Marya Iqbal a professional photographer working with Express Tribune. She told us about her experiences working as photo journalist. How to write according to pictures and what are different features of photography while shooting for a news story was also discussed.

After Lunch we were given the tasks to get photos for the stories. We went outside to take photos from different locations.When we came back Michael reviewed our photos and gave us his suggestions how to improve them.

At last we were given assignments to write 300 words stories for those photos taken outside.

Day Two:-

The second day started with the feedback from the last working day. our instructor Micheal discussed a power point presentation with us regarding content. the title of the presentation was "content is the King", than distributed handouts among participants about "Writing for the web" we discussed many features regarding writing for the web which includes how to write News its features 5Ws and 1H, how to carry its style and which things to avoid while writing for it.

afterwards we were given assignments to write a news story for the web from local newspapers.

we did the assignments and got critical comments from the instructor. finally we got the home assignment fro writing 300 words story for tomorrow.

Day One:-

The first day of the 2nd TOT training. It was very interesting for us as Mr.Michael Alexander our trainer was with us and first of all he introduced himself to us and got every participant introduction. We discussed the scheduled of the training. Mr Asif who was with us on the first Digital TOT as our instructor was also present on the 2^nd TOT. He asked the participants whether they want something to be excluded or included in the schedule; everyone was satisfied with the content.

We started our session by having an overview of the last digital TOT. Our instructor wanted to have a look on our blogs and we shared our blogs with him and got different opinions on it over all he was satisfied with our blogs and suggested some improvements in them.

Overall it was very learning day for us.
